Replacing the Print Cartridges

When you finish replacing the print cartridges, the message Printing Alignment Page appears on the Control Panel display and the printer automatically prints a test page of alignment patterns. If you need to print an alignment test page, see the section “To Print an Alignment Test Page” (page 4-14)for verifying alignment.

Figure 4.1 on page 4-12shows a simulated alignment test pattern. Each pattern has a letter above it (A, B, C, and D). These letters represent the Horizontal Alignment, Vertical Alignment, Bidirectional Black Alignment, and Bidirectional Color Alignment, respectively. The number or appearance of your alignment patterns will vary from those shown.
