Tips For Threading Pressure Sensitive Film

1.Use kraft paper for one-sided lamination whenever the items to be laminated are narrower than the film you are using or you can not consistently feed the items without a gap.

2.Thread the film completely through the machine before you cut the release liner and connect it to the take up roller.

3.Whenever possible, pull the remaining web of film out the front of the laminator after the finished item has been removed.

Pre Treating Mounting Boards

You may wish to pre coat mounting boards ahead of time with pressure sensitive mounting film.

1.Load the laminator as shown in Figure 17.

2.If the boards are the same width as the pre coat film or you can consistently feed the boards butted together, no special precautions are necessary. If not, kraft paper must be loaded on the bottom film supply shaft to protect the heat rollers.

3.Adjust the Roller Pressure Handle to the proper mounting setting. No heat required.

4.Start a leader board into the rollers. Stop the motor before it clears the rollers. Butt the leading edge of the next board against he trailing edge of the leader board and press RUN. Continue feeding one board after another keeping pressure on them to prevent gaps from forming. If you have loaded kraft paper, it is not necessary to use a leader board or worry about gaps.

Mounting and Overlamination

This process requires an over laminate film, PSA pre treated mounting boards and kraft paper. Refer to Figure 18.

1.Fold back the first inch of release liner on the board and attach the leading of the print to the exposed adhesive.

2.Adjust the Roller Pressure handle to the proper setting.

3.Place the leading edge of the board and print on the feed table, press RUN.

4.Guide the board into the rollers as squarely as possible.

5.Once the board has cleared the back of the machine, press STOP, cut the web. and trim out the board

Suggerimenti per l’inserimento di film autoadesivi

1.Per la plastificazione su un solo lato, utilizzare carta kraft se gli articoli da plastificare sono più stretti del film che si sta utilizzando o non è possibile alimentare continuamente gli articoli senza lasciare vuoti.

2.Inserire il film in macchina completamente prima di tagliare il rivestimento e collegarlo al rullo di riavvolgimento.

3.Quando possibile, tirare fuori il film residuo dalla parte anteriore della plastificatrice dopo aver rimosso l’articolo finito.

Trattamento preventivo del cartone per montaggio

E’ possibile trattare preventivamente i cartoni per montaggio prima di utilizzarli con film autoadesivo.

1.Caricare la plastificatrice come mostrato in Figura 17.

2.Se i cartoni hanno la stessa larghezza del film di prerivestimento o se è possibile alimentare costantemente i cartoni uno contro l’altro, non si richiederà alcuna precauzione particolare. In caso contrario sarà necessario caricare carta kraft sull’albero del film inferiore per proteggere i rulli di riscaldamento.

3.Regolare la maniglia di pressione dei rulli sull’impostazione adeguata per il montaggio. Non si richiede calore.

4.Inserire un cartone di guida nei rulli. Arrestare il motore prima che il cartone fuoriesca dagli stessi. Mettere il bordo di entrata del cartone successivo contro il bordo terminale del cartone di guida e premere RUN (AVVIO). Continuare ad alimentare un cartone dopo l’altro esercitando pressione su di essi per prevenire la formazioni di interspazi. Se è stata caricata carta kraft, non è necessario utilizzare un cartone guida o preoccuparsi degli interspazi.

Montaggio e Sovraplastificazione

Questo processo richiede un film sovraplastificato, un cartone per montaggio autoadesivo pre-trattato, e carta kraft. Far riferimento alla Figura 18.

1.Ripiegare il primo pollice di rivestimento sul cartone e mettere in contatto il bordo di entrata della stampa con l’adesivo esposto.

2.Regolare la maniglia di pressione dei rulli sull’impostazione adeguata.

3.Posizionare il bordo di entrata del cartone e della stampa sul piano di alimentazione e premere il pulsante RUN (AVVIO).

4.Guidare con attenzione il cartone nei rulli.

5.Dopo che il cartone è fuoriuscito dal retro della macchina, premere il pulsante STOP (ARRESTO) e tagliare il film e rifilare il cartone.
