7Position the upper ceramic tube into the long axis of the splitter fitting so that about 4 mm of it extends past the top of the fitting. Slide the 0.054" ID double tapered ferrule over the upper ceramic tube. Gently holding these parts so that neither the ferrule nor the upper ceramic tube slips out of position, finger-tighten the union fitting onto the splitter fitting.
