Field

Description

Current Password

Enter the current administrator password. You must correctly enter the

current password before you are able to change it.

New Password

Enter a new administrator password. The characters you enter will be

displayed as " * " characters to prevent others from seeing your

password as you type.

The Administrator password must be a string of up to 8 characters.

Please do not include space (' ') and any of the characters within the

parenthesis: ("$:<>'&*). The characters you input are case-sensitive.

Note: As an immediate first step in securing your wireless network, we

recommend that you change the administrator password from the

default.

Confirm New Password

Re-enter the new administrator password to confirm that you typed it as

intended.

Network Name (SSID)

Enter a name for the wireless network as a character string. This name

will apply to all access points on this network. As you add more access

points, they will share this SSID.

The Service Set Identifier (SSID) is a string of up to 32 characters. The

characters you input are case-sensitive.

Note: If you are connected as a wireless client to the same AP that you

are administering, resetting the SSID will cause you to lose connectivity

to the AP. You will need to reconnect to the new SSID after you save

this new setting.

Note: The AT-TQ2403 Management Software is not designed for multiple, simultaneous configuration changes. If you have a network that includes multiple access points, and more than one administrator is logged on to the Administration Web pages and making changes to the configuration, all access points in the cluster will stay in sync but there is no guarantee that all configuration changes specified by multiple users will be applied.
