To install Chameleon from Windows:

1In the Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu.

Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts. Near the end of the installation, you will be asked to respond to a series of dialog boxes. Respond as follows:

ADD INTERFACE

Click OK.

INTERNET ADDRESS

Enter the address provided by your network administrator or service provider.

SUBNET MASK

Click OK. The software will supply the correct mask.

HOST NAME

Select a name for your client machine.

DOMAIN NAME

Enter the name for your domain name server.

Choose Domain Servers from the Services menu.

Enter the IP address of the domain name server.

Choose Gateway from the Services menu.

Enter the IP address of the Internet gateway, if any.

Save the settings by pressing Alt-F-S.

If you will be using a dial-up TCP/IP connection, skip to the next section, “Restarting Windows.” If not, proceed with step 8.

8Go to the C:\NWCLIENT directory

9Copy NET.CFG to NET.OLD. (Save a copy of the existing NET.CFG file.)
