Processor Cards

Table 1-1lists the processor cards that are available for use in the Cisco ICS 7750 chassis.

Multiservice		•	Multiservice		1-6	MRP cards run Cisco IOS and provide the
router/voice			route processor			functionality of multiservice routers and
gateway			(MRP)			H.323-compliant voice gateways. Analog station
		•	Analog station			interface (ASI) cards add support for high-density
						analog Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) ports
			interface (ASI)
						(8- and 16-port versions are available). Flash
						memory is an option that is available for the MRP
						and ASI cards.
Single-board	System processing				1-6	SPE cards run integrated Web-based system
computer/	engine (SPE)					management software (Cisco ICS 7700 System
application						Manager), call-processing software
server						(Cisco CallManager), and IP telephony
						applications (Cisco Unity).
Ethernet switch	System switch				7	The SSP card runs Cisco IOS and integrates the
	processor (SSP)					Cisco ICS 7750 with your switched Ethernet
						10/100 backbone.
Hardware	System alarm				8	The SAP card sends fault detection and system
monitor	processor (SAP)					monitoring information to the fault management
						module that is embedded in the Cisco ICS 7700
						System Manager software.
