Analog Station Interface Cards

Analog station interface (ASI) cards enable you to connect to analog telephones, fax machines, and teleconferencing stations. Two ASI cards are available:

ASI81—Contains an 8-port Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) module and any one of the VIC, WIC, or VWIC modules shown in Table 2-6that support digital and analog voice trunks and WAN routing interfaces, completely integrating voice and data networking.

MRP3-8FXS—Contains an 8-port FXS module and onboard Flash memory.

ASI160—Contains a 16-port FXS module.

MRP3-16FXS—Contains a 16-port FXS module and onboard Flash memory.

ASI cards can reside in any of the interchangeable slots (slot 1 through slot 6). Figure 2-6shows the ASI81 card. Figure 2-7shows the ASI160 card.
