Cisco IP Phone Expansion Module 7914

The Cisco IP Phone Expansion Module 7914 attaches to the Cisco IP Phone 7960 and adds 14 buttons and an LCD display to aid administrative assistants and others who must monitor and manage calls. These buttons can be programmed as directory numbers (DNs), line keys, or speed-dial keys.

Two expansion modules can be attached to the IP phone, for a total of 34 line and/or speed dial buttons as shown in Figure 6-3.

LCD screen—Displays information about each button.

Lighted buttons—Buttons that are each assigned as a line with a directory number or as a speed-dial button.

Key Features

The LCD screen shows the information about a programmable button. It displays the directory number or the text label, such as a name, that is assigned to the button. A speed dialing button displays the phone number or text name.
