Stand-alone DVR Instruction Manual

7-7.5. MNS (MAC NAME SERVER)

As a sort of DDNS, two servers in our company are being operated so that our client can access DVR with a Dynamic IP address. If one of servers stops operating, the other one will automatically start working.

▫Click the MNS button in the NETWORK menu with a mouse or buttons on the remote controller and then the MNS window will show up as below (See [Fig. 7-97]).

▫To return to the NETWORK window, click the (EXIT) button in the MNS menu.

▫DISABLE / ENABLE

You can select the DISABLE or ENABLE button on both SERVER 1 and SERVER 2 by clicking the mouse or pressing the ENTER button on the remote controller.

“DISABLE”: MSN (MAC NAME SERVER) is not working.

“ENABLE”: MSN (MAC NAME SERVER) is working.
