About Your Printer 21

Unless you turn off the automatic paper type sensor, it always remains on. To turn off the

automatic paper type sensor for a specific print job:

1With your document open, click File→Pr int.

2From th e Print dialog box, click Preferences or Properties (depending on your program or

operating system).

The Printi ng Prefe rences dialog box opens.

3Click the Print Setu p tab.

4Select the paper type from the Media Type drop-down menu.

5Click OK.

To turn off the automatic paper type sensor for all print jobs:

1In Windows XP, click Start→Control Panel→Printers and Other Hardware→Printe rs and

Faxes.

In Windows 2000, click Start→Settings→Printers.

2Right-click the Dell Photo AIO Printer 964 icon.

3Click Printi ng Prefe rences.

4Click the Print Setu p tab.

5Select the paper type from the Media Type drop-down menu.

6Click OK.
