Loading Special Paper and Other Me dia

When loading special paper distributed by EPSON, read the

instruction sheets packed with your special med ia first and

keep the following in mind:

Make sure the printable side of t he paper is face up when

loading media into the sheet feeder. See the instruction

sheets packed with the media to determine which side is

the printable surface. Some media features cut corners to

help identify the correct loading direction, as shown below.

Make sure the paper stack fits under the edge guide tab

and the arrow mark, both of which are located on the inside

surface of the left edge guide.

Loading capacity for EPSON special media is explained

below.

Operation The P power light is on but nothing prints. Nothing prints and the control panel lights are on or flashing. The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints. 9-10 The self test prints well, but nothing prints from an application program. A SC 850 (or SC 850 (AT))cannot be used error appears. (Macintosh only) Printing starts too high or too low on the page. 9-12 Color documents print out in black and white. Print speed is not what you expect. The printed image is blurred. The printed image is smeared. 9-20 w White horizontal lines appear in the printed image. Printing quality is not what you expect. 9-22 Colors are different from what you expect. Colors are not very vibrant. 9-24 Dots are missing in printed characters or graphics. Photographic images look grainy or rough. The Status Monitor 2 window does not appear when you are using Windows 95. 9-26 When you clean the print heads using the Head Cleaning utility, the output quality does not improve.
