
Cleans the print heads. You may need to clean the heads if you
notice a decline in print quality. Before and after print head
cleaning, use the Nozzle Check utility to check whether the
print heads need to be cleaned (again). You can access the
Nozzle Check utility directly from the Head Cleaning utility.
Print Head AlignmentAligns the print heads. Use this utility if you notice a
misalignment of vertical or horizontal lines.
Note:
Do not use the Nozzle Check, Head Cleaning, and Print Head
Alignment utilities with printers connected to your computer
through a network. If necessary, printing a self test can also help
you to check the nozzles for clogging.
Do not use the Nozzle Check, Head Cleaning, and Print Head
Alignment utilities while printing is in progress; otherwise your
printout may be marred.
