Checking Printer Status (for Windows 95 and 3.1 )
When you send a print job to the printer from an application,
the Progress Meter (Windows 95), or the Despooler (Windows
3.1) appears on your computer screen.
From Windows 95 (Progress Meter )
This meter shows the progress of the current print job and
provides printer status information when bidirectional
communication between the printer and computer is
established.
If you click the Detail button, you can open the Printer Status
window to obtain more detailed information.
Note:
The Progress Meter does not appear when Show Progress is turned
off in the Speed & Progress dialog box. See page 4-17 for information.
Stop Cancels printing
Pause Pauses printing until you press it again
Reprint Restarts printing from the current page,
reprints the whole document, or holds
the document for printing later
Only appears if the
Status Monitor 2 u tility is
installed
