Using Power-On Functions The functions below (in italics) are available if you hold down the
corresponding control panel buttons while turning on the print er:
LQ self test =
E load/eject button
Checks the paper length and prints a self-test at 360 dpi. See “Sel f test ing”
on page 9-5.
Draft self test =
Ycleaning button
Checks the paper length and performs self-test printing at 180 dpi. See
“Self testing” on page 9-5.
Default setting =
X cleaning button
Enters the default-setting mode. See “Changing the Print Setting s” in this
chapter.
Hex dump =
E load/eject +
X cleaning buttons
Prints the data sent from the computer in hexadecimal code. See “Hex
dump mode” on page 9-7.
Print head alignment =
E load/eject +
