Loading Envelopes When printing on envelopes, please follow the steps below:
1. Make sure the envelopes are not curled or folded. Also avoid
using envelopes that are too thin; they may curl during
printing.
2. Load envelopes flap edge first with the flap side down. You
can load up to 10 envelopes into the sheet feeder.
3. Select Plain Paper as the Media Type setting in the printer
driver. For more details on making printer driver settings,
see online help for Windows, or Chapter 5 for Ma cintosh.
If ink smears on your documents:
Set the adjust lever to the ”+” position. To change the setting,
open the printer cover and reposition the lever. See the
illustration on p age 6-5.
Note:
Return the adjust lever to the “0” position, which is the normal
position, after you finish printing on envelopes. If you leave the lever
in the “+” position, this may cause gaps to appear on the printouts
when you print on other media.
