Note:

The EPSON Status Monitor 2 utility installation starts

automatically. You can stop the installation by clicking the

Cancel button. If you want to install it later, see "Installing the

Status Monitor 2 utility" on page 4-27.

Installation time varies depending on your computer system.

If you use the floppy disk version, click OK when the

installation is completed.

Your printer software is now installed. If you use your printer

on a network with Windows 95, see page 2-21.

Before using the printer software, be sure to read the README

file located in the EPSON folder. For information on opening

and using the software, see “Printing With Windows” in

Chapter 3.

Operation The P power light is on but nothing prints. Nothing prints and the control panel lights are on or flashing. The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints. 9-10 The self test prints well, but nothing prints from an application program. A SC 850 (or SC 850 (AT))cannot be used error appears. (Macintosh only) Printing starts too high or too low on the page. 9-12 Color documents print out in black and white. Print speed is not what you expect.
