Lights Problem and Solution
Paper Out
o S No paper is loaded in
the printer. Load paper in the sheet feeder;
then press the
E load/eject button
to turn the
S paper out light off. The
printer resumes printing.
The paper is not
loaded correctly. Remove and reload paper; then
press the
E load/eject to turn the
S
paper out light off. See ”Loading
Paper” in Chapter 3.
Paper Jam
f S Paper has jammed in
the printer. Press the
E load/eject butto n . The
printer loads the jammed paper and
then resumes printing. If the error is
not cleared, open the printer c over
and remove the jammed paper,
then reload paper in the sheet
feeder, and press the
E load/eject
button. The printer resumes pr i n ti ng.
Ink Low (black ink cartridge)
f B The black ink cartridge
is nearly empty. Obtain a replacement bl ac k ink
cartridge (S020108).
Ink Out (black ink cartridge)
o B The black ink cartridge
is empty. Replace the black ink cartridge with
a new one (S020108). See page 8-2
for details.
Ink Low (color ink cartridge)
f A The color ink cartridge
is nearly empty. Obtain a replacement color ink
cartridge (S020089).
Ink Out (color ink cartridge)
o A The color ink cartridge
is empty. R eplace the color ink cartridge with
