8. Press the ink cartridge clamp down until it locks in place.

9. If you need to replace the other ink cartridge as well, press

the appropriat e cleaning butt on (

Yfor black,

X for color),

then repeat steps 4 through 8.

10. Press the

E load/eject button then close the printer cover.

The printer moves the print heads and begins charging the

ink delivery system. This operation takes about three

minutes to complete.

cCaution:

The

P power light continues to flash while the printer

performs the ink charging operation. Never turn off the

printer while the

P power light is flashing. Doing so can

result in incomplete charging of ink.

Note:

Even if you do not press the

E load/eject button, the printer

moves the print heads and begins the ink charging process ab out

60 seconds after you replace the ink cartridge.

When the ink charging process is finished, the printer

resumes printing any d ata remaining in its memo ry or

returns the print heads to their home posi tion. Then the

P

power light stops flashing.
