Viewing and Adjusting the Input Audio Level (Audio Models)

On models with audio, the level of each analog audio input can be displayed and adjusted through a range of -18 dB to +24 dB to ensure that there is no noticeable volume difference among sources (see figure 38). The audio level can be adjusted from the front panel or under remote control. The default audio level is 0 dB.

1.Press the Esc button to clear any input buttons, output buttons, or control buttons that may be lit.

2.To enter Audio mode, press and hold the Audio button until the button begins to blink red, then release the button.

3.Press and release an input button to select an input that has analog audio. The output buttons display the audio level for the selected input; the more output LEDs lit, the greater the gain or attenuation.

Green output buttons indicate a gain (+) audio level.

Red output buttons indicate an attenuation (–) level.

Audio gain and attenuation is displayed differently on different models.

Switchers with 32 output buttons — Each output button indicates 1 dB when lit. See table 2 on the next page.

Switchers with 16 output buttons — Each output button indicates 1 dB when blinking and 2 dB when lit. See table 3 on page 65.

Switchers with 8 output buttons — Each output button indicates 1 dB when blinking slowly, 2 dB when blinking quickly, and 3 dB when lit. See table 3 on page 65.

4.Press and release the Esc (>) and View (<) buttons to increase and decrease the audio level.
