6 Remove the shaft. | 7 Remove the pick roller from its shaft. |
Slightly pull up the left part of the shaft (about 5 mm), move it towards the left side, and then lift it up.

Pull out the shaft as you lift the retaining clip.

Lifting the retaining clip with your fingernail may hurt or
Shaft! damage your fingernail.
Use a paper clip or something alike if you have trouble lifting it up.

The area around the pick roller may be contaminated by |

! paper dust which can cause scanning errors. | 2 |
Wipe off the paper dust with a cloth moistened with |

Cleaner F1. |

Do not use any water, mild detergent or air spray. | 8 Attach a new pick roller on the shaft. |

| Insert the protrusion on the shaft into the slot. |
