Index Description

Postheater — helps to dry the output prior to the takeup. Incorporates turnbuckles that can be adjusted to straighten the media path.

Pinch rollers (23 places) — grip the media during loading and printing. If installed, a pinch roller adjust- ment lever (11a) allows you to adjust the force or release the pinch rollers to feed rigid cut-sheet media. A media out sensor (11b) detects whether media ig1 s loaded.

Capping station — protects the printheads from drying out while idle (not printing) for extended periods.

Handle — for pulling the printer on its casters and lift- ing the end of the printer.

Stand — supports the printer.

Casters (four places) — enables easy relocation of the printer, can be locked in place.

Leveling pads (four places) — allows the printer to be stabilized and leveled for consistent media feeding.

Docking station — holds the profilers, one for each res- ervoir, that track ink and cleaning solvent usage, and identify ink characteristics for the RIP.

Off-Head System (OHS) — reservoirs, electronics, vac- uum (to maintain negative head pressure), and pres- sure (for purging the printheads) that provide ink and cleaning solvent for cleaning the printheads.

Ink filters — user replaceable, one for each reservoir, fil- ters out impurities from the ink or cleaning solvent prior to being sent to the printheads.

Ink reservoirs — holds the ink and cleaning solvent supply, 3.5 liter capacity.

Power inlet — connects the printer to electrical power.

Standby power switch — places printer in standby mode (to disconnect from power, disconnect power cord).

VideoNet port — connects printer to print server.

Vacuum/Pressure (VP) assembly — provides vacuum and pressure to the OHS and printheads.

Media supply and takeup system — drives and pro- vides tension to the media supply and takeup spools.

Media advance switch — enables user to advance media forward or backward during loading.
