Installing optional trays

The printer supports the following optional input sources:

•2 Tray Module (two 500‑sheet trays)

•2,000‑sheet dual input trays

•2,000‑sheet high capacity feeder

•Duplex unit

CAUTION—POTENTIAL INJURY: The printer weighs more than 55 kg (121 lb), and requires at least four persons or a properly rated mechanical handling system to lift it safely.

CAUTION—SHOCK HAZARD: If you are accessing the system board or installing optional hardware or memory devices sometime after setting up the printer, then turn the printer off, and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before continuing. If you have any other devices attached to the printer, then turn them off as well, and unplug any cables going into the printer.

1Unpack the optional tray, and remove all packing material.

2Place the tray in the location chosen for the printer.

Note: If you are installing more than one optional tray, the 2,000‑sheet dual input trays must always be installed as the first optional trays (configuring from the bottom up).

Note: The optional 500‑sheet trays and optional 2,000‑sheet dual input trays are interchangeable.
