Printing

7For Windows 2000 and XP, in the Printers folder, highlight your printer by clicking it once. Go to File Size. Printing Preferences.

8In Printing Preferences, select the Paper tab.

9For PostScript drivers for Windows 2000 and XP, select your custom form from the list under

Form Type.

For PCL Drivers for Windows 2000 and XP, select your custom form from the list under Form

Size.

10Open your program and print your document.

Notes:

Some programs may override your print settings. As a result, you must configure your program’s settings to accommodate your custom form. See your program’s reference materials for information on how to change your program’s settings.

Selecting your custom form in Printing Preferences is recommended for using your newly created form in a program. However, this makes the new form the default for all programs that do not override the printer driver’s selected paper size. To reset the default form size, enter Printing Preferences again and set the form size to the desired type.

If you are working on a network, only an administrator can create a new form on the server. In a client server architecture, once the new form has been placed on the server, the client’s printer objects (installed through Point and Print) receive the custom form from the server.

Some changes may not immediately appear in a program’s copy of the driver. As a result, it may be necessary to close and reopen the program so that any changes to the driver’s settings may be displayed.

For Mac OS 8.6-9.x:

1Verify that your desktop printer is the default printer.

2In your program, go to File For Mac OS 8.6-9.x: Page Setup.

3Click the Page Setup menu, and then select Custom Page Sizes. Click New.

4Enter a name for your custom page under the Custom Page Size Name edit box.

5Under Paper Size, enter the appropriate dimensions. Under Margins, enter the appropriate margin size.

6Select the appropriate units of measure.

7Click OK.

8In your program, go to File Manual background Page Setup. Click the Page Setup menu, and then select Page Attributes. Under Paper, select the custom size you want to use.

9Print your document.
