Case...

Document Jams

If the document jams, an alarm will sound and a message will be displayed. Remove the pa- per carefully, following the procedure.

Document jam

Open & Check the

Blinking Cover.

Important

If the document cannot be easily pulled out, do not force it. Turn the dial to discharge the paper. Forcefully pulling the document out may cause it to tear.

Note

If the document is caught in the roller, do not at- tempt to pull it out, but proceed to step 3.

(1) Lift the ADF cover release	ADF cover
lever (A1) to open the ADF
cover.
(2) Remove the jammed docu-
ment. If the document cannot
be removed, go to step 2.

(1) Open the inside cover (A2).

(2) Gently pull out the jammed document.

If the document cannot be re- moved, go to step 3.
