5.If your ISP uses numbered (interface-based) routing, select Local WAN IP Address and enter the local WAN address your ISP gave you. Then select Local WAN IP Mask and enter the WAN subnet mask of the remote site you will connect to.

The default address is 0.0.0.0, which allows for dynamic addressing, meaning that your ISP assigns an address via DHCP when you connect. In leased line connections, ISPs more commonly use static addressing, in which case you must enter a speciﬁc address. If you want to make LAN resources available to the WAN or Internet, you will need to use static addressing.
