5.12 Save Configuration

The Save Configuration screen enables users to save the current parameter configuration and the loaded auxiliary files to the non-volatilememory so they are available after a power fail. Parameters that are only saved to the volatile memory revert to their previous settings after hardware reset.

Note that when performing a software reset (i.e., via Web or SNMP) you can choose to save the changes to the non-volatilememory. Therefore, there is no need to use the Save Configuration screen.

Note: Saving changes to the non-volatilememory may disrupt traffic on the gateway. To avoid this, disable all traffic before saving.

To save the changes to the non-volatile, take these 2 steps:

1.Click the Save Configuration button on the main menu bar; the ‘Save Configuration’ screen is displayed.

2.Click the Save Configuration button in the middle of the screen; a confirmation message appears when the save is complete.
