Why Connect My Device to My Computer?

You need to install the desktop software and connect the sync cable so that you can synchronize the information on your computer with the information on your device. You can use either Palm® Desktop software (included) or Microsoft Outlook for Windows (sold separately) as your synchronization software.

Synchronization means you can enter or change information on your device or on your computer and then synchronize to automatically update the information in both places. There’s no need to enter the information twice. We strongly recommend that you synchronize your device and your computer frequently to keep your information up-to-date (and backed up) in both locations.
