Making Room on Your PalmCentro™ Smart Device
Keep in mind that your Centrodevice includes an expansion card slot, and that you can
store applications and information on expansion cards (sold separately). However, you still
need free memory on the device itself to run applications from an expansion card.
If you store a large number of entries or install many third-party applications, the internal
memory on your Centrodevice may fill up. Here are some common ways to clear space on
your device:
䢇Email. Messages that have large attachments can quickly consume memory on your
device. Delete emails with large attachments. If you have hundreds of messages with or
without attachments, you may want to delete older messages to make room (see the
User Guide for the VersaMail Application located on your Palm Software Installation CD,
or visit go.palm.com/centro-sprint/ for more information.)
䢇Pics&Videos Pictures can consume excessive memory. Move your pictures to an
expansion card, synchronize them to your computer (see “Viewing Pictures and Videos
on Your Computer” on page194), or upload them to your account on the Sprint Picture
Mail Web site, and then delete large files from your Centrodevice (see “Deleting a
Picture or Video” on page192).
䢇Music. Music files often consume excessive memory. Move music files to an expansion
card, or delete large files from your device.
䢇Internet. If you have set a large Web browser cache, you may want to clear the cache
(see “Customizing Your Web Browser Settings” on page167).
䢇Third-party applications. You can delete infrequently used applications (see “Removing
Applications” on page253) or move them to an expansion card (see “Using Expansion
Cards” on page269).
