Hardware Requirements
A printer or external call ac counting system is required to receive SMDR
data.
Considerations
Unlike other CPC circuit cards, the CPC-EX supports two serial ports.
Serial Port 1 is labeled CN4 and is located on the backplane. Serial Port 2
is labeled CN5 and is located on the front of the CPC-EX card. Serial Port
2 requires a special interface cable.
Be sure to select the correct port to output SMDR data. From the
Attendant’s phone:
- dial
#90 to set Serial Port 1 (the backplane port) to output Bus
Monitor/Maintenance and Serial Port 2 to no output.
- dial
#92 to set Serial Port 1 to output SMDR and Serial Port 2
to output Bus Monitor/Maintenance data.
- dial
#93 to set Serial Port 1 to output SMDR data and Serial
Port 2 to no output.
