The Timer Menu

Using the timer features you can automatically record a program from the tuner at a certain time, wake up to a CD playing, or fall asleep at night to

the radio. Access to these functions is from the TIMER menu, which is accessed by pressing the TIMER button. The menu has four options:

WAKE UP - Set the system to switch on and start playing at a certain time (for example, at the same time as your alarm clock goes in the morning).

TIMER REC - Set the tape deck or optional MD player to record a radio program at a certain time.

SLEEP TIMER - Set the system to switch off at a certain time (for example, half an hour after you go to bed).

CLOCK ADJUST - Set the clock to the correct time (see page 22). Remember, the timer functions won't work properly unless you've set the clock!

Le menu de la minuterie

La minuterie permet de programmer un enregistrement depuis la radio à une heure précise, de vous réveiller au son d’un CD ou de vous endormir au son de la radio. Toutes ces fonctions sont accessibles par le menu TIMER qui apparaît lorsque vous appuyez sur la touche TIMER. Le menu contient les quatre options suivantes :

WAKE UP - règle la chaîne pour qu’elle se mette en service à une certaine heure (par exemple, en même temps que votre réveille- matin).

TIMER REC - règle la platine à cassette ou le lecteur MD proposé en option pour l’enregistrement d’un programme radio à une certaine heure.

SLEEP TIMER - règle la chaîne pour qu’elle s’éteigne à une certaine heure (par exemple, une demi-heure après votre coucher).

CLOCK ADJUST - règle l’horloge sur l’heure correcte (voir page 22). Les fonctions de la minuterie ne marchent pas correctement si l’horloge n’est pas à l’heure.

Setting the Wake Up Timer

Once set, the wake up timer will remain active (i.e., it will switch on the system every day) until you cancel it (see Cancelling the Wake Up Timer on page 58). You can wake up to the sound of any component in the system, but not a component connected to the AUX/CD-R inputs. To set the wake up timer, you'll need to tell it which component to start playing, what time to start, and also what time to stop.

Lorsqu’elle a été réglée, la minuterie réveil reste active (c’est-à-dire qu’elle mettra la chaîne chaque jour en service) tant que vous ne la désactivez pas (voir Annulation de la minuterie réveil à la page 58). Vous pouvez vous réveiller au son de n’importe quel élément de la chaîne, mais pas au son d’un appareil raccordé aux entrées AUX/CD-R. Pour régler la minuterie réveil, vous devez indiquer l’élément qui doit être mis en service ainsi que l’heure de mise en et hors service.

1Select the component you want the timer to start playing.

For example, press the CD button and load a CD into the player (no need to start it playing). If you're using the tuner, tune in to a radio station. Remember to set the volume at a suitable level (things sound louder first thing in the morning...)

Par exemple, appuyez sur la touche CD et posez un CD dans le lecteur (pas besoin de commencer la lecture). Si vous utilisez la radio, accordez une station radio.

Veillez à régler le volume au niveau approprié (pas trop fort pour le réveil…)
