Setting the Sleep Timer

When setting the sleep timer, you only have to tell the system when to switch off.

SLEEP 90 - SLEEP 60 - SLEEP 30 - SLEEP OFF

AUTO plays the current CD, tape or MD out, then switches off the system.

90, 60 and 30 options switch off the system after 90, 60 and 30 minutes, respectively; OFF cancels the sleep timer if it was previously set.

The little moon indicator lights in the display to show the sleep timer is set and the display dims. To check how much time is left on the sleep timer, select SLEEP TIMER from the timer menu, then press SET. The display shows the remaining time.

Les options 90, 60, 30 mettent la chaîne hors service respectivement dans les 90, 60 et 30 minutes qui suivent; OFF annule la minuterie sommeil si elle était activée.

Le symbole de la lune dans l’afficheur indique que la minuterie sommeil est activée. A ce moment, l’afficheur s’assombrit. Pour voir combien de temps il reste jusqu’à la mise hors service de la chaîne, sélectionnez SLEEP TIMER sur le menu de la minuterie, puis appuyez sur SET. Le temps restant est affiché.

Tip

AUTO will not be available if a CD or MD is playing in repeat mode (see p.36), or if a tape is playing in endless mode (see p.48). If you select AUTO, then subsequently start playing something in repeat or endless mode, the sleep timer will change automati- cally to the 90 minute setting.

Conseil

AUTO ne sera pas disponible si le CD ou le MD sont reproduits dans le mode de rŽpŽtition (voir p. 36) ou si la cassette est lue dans le mode continu (voir p. 48). Si vous sŽlectionnez AUTO, puis commencez la lecture dans le mode de rŽpŽtition ou continu, la minuterie sommeil se rŽglera automatiquement sur 90 minutes.
