Raster centering

Purpose

Many monitor applications require that the

displayed image or text fit completely within a

bezel that surrounds the CRT. This usually requires

that you first center the blank raster on the face

of the CRT and then center the image within the

raster. Use this image for centering the raster on

the CRT.

Method

Turn up your monitor’s brightness control until

the raster is just visible. Adjust the raster’s position

and size using the size and raster centering

controls. The raster centering adjustment for many

monochrome monitors consists of moving magnetic

rings on the deflection yoke.
