1¼ cups | Butter at room temperature | 11/3 cups | Plain flour, sifted | |||
1/3 | cup | Brown sugar |
| ¼ tsp | Baking powder dissolved in 2 tsp | |
1/3 | cup | White sugar |

1 tsp | Vanilla essence |
| 1 cup | Chopped nuts | ||
½ tsp | Salt |
| 175 gm | Chocolate chips | ||

METHOD
Cream butter in an electric mixer until light. With the mixer running, slowly add brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, salt, egg, flour and dissolved baking powder. Mix until just blended. Stir in chopped nuts and chocolate chips by hand. If dough is too soft, chill it until it stiffens a little. Then, shape the dough into 2” diameter (no bigger) balls.
