The flexible fiber-optic trailing cable was developed for applications in which the cable must be flexible enough to move, for example when attached to moving machine parts (drag chains). The cable is designed for 100,000 bending cycles through ± 90° (at the specified minimum bending radius). The trailing cable can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for connecting optical ports operating at the wavelengths of 850 nm and 1300 nm.
