The “Lamp Failure” messageappears
If the “LampFailure” messageappears, oneof the following issues is occurring:
lThelamp is overheating, likely due to blocked airv ents.
lThelamp has reachedthe end of its life.
lTheprojector has an internalproblem.
gTo resolvethe “Lamp Failure” error
1. Restart the projector (seeYour projector stops respondingon previous page).
2. Check the remaininglamp hours using the on-screenmenu (seeAdjusting projector settings on
page14).
If the lamp has morethan 2000 hoursof use, it ’s nearthe end of its lifespan.
3. Replace your lampmodule as described in Removingand replacingt heprojector lamp module
onpage 37.
4. If replacing the lamp moduledoesn’t resolve the issue, put the projectorinto Standby mode,
disconnectthe power cable, and thenc ontact yourauthorized SMART reseller.
The projectorPower and Service lights are off
If the projectorPower and Service lights are bothoff, one of the following issues is occurring:
lTherewas a power outageor a power surge.
lA circuit breakeror a safety s witch was tripped.
lTheprojector isn’t connected to the powersource.
lTheprojector has an internalproblem.
gTo resolvethe unlit projector Power and Service lights issue
1. Check the power source, andt henmake sure that all cables are connected.
2. Confirm that the projectoris connected to an active poweroutlet.
3. Make sure the pins on thec onnectorsaren’t brokenor bent.
4. Connect the power cable,and then turn on the projector.
5. If t heprevious steps don’t resolve the issue, disconnect the powerc ableand then contact your
