Forexample, a shareware or freeware program that
youdownload may use adware to keep its price low. In
thiscase, you can allow the security risk program to
remainon your computer or restore it if Spyware
Protectionhas removed it.
Somequarantined items are successfully disinfected
afterNorton 360 rescans them. You can also restore
suchitems.
wIfyou restore an item to a directory other than its
originallocation, it may not function properly.
Therefore,it is recommended that you reinstall the
program.
Torestore an item from the Quarantine
1Inthe SecurityHistory window,in the Quarantine
view,select the item that you want to restore.
2Inthe Details pane, click Restore & Options.
3Inthe Threat Detected window, click Restore &
excludethis file.
Thisoption returns the selected Quarantine item
toits original location without repairing it and
excludesthe item from being detected in the future
scans.
4Inthe Quarantine Restore window, click Yes.
Incase of non-viral threats, you can use the option
thatis available in this window to exclude the
securityrisk. Norton 360 does not detect the
securityrisks that you exclude in the future scans.
5Inthe Browse for Folder dialog, select the folder or
drivewhere you want to restore the file and then
clickOK.
6ClickClose.
