Yourcomputer's performance is maximized if you
scheduleyour critical operations to occur when your
computeris idle. When you schedule backup weekly
ormonthly and check Run only at idle time, Norton
360backs up your files when your computer is idle.
Symantecrecommends that you check Runonly atidle
timeto experience better performance of your
computer.
Specifying Idle Time Out duration
Youcan set the duration after which Norton 360 should
identifyyour computer as idle. You can select a value
(inminutes) between 1 minute and 30 minutes. When
youdo not use your computer for the specified
duration,Norton 360 identifies your computer as idle.
Norton360 then runs the activities that are scheduled
torun at idle time.
Tospecify Idle Time Out duration from the Settings
window
1Inthe Norton 360 main window, click Settings.
2Inthe Settings window, under Detailed Settings,
clickAdministrative Settings.
3Inthe Idle Time Out row, in the drop-down list,
selectthe duration that you want to specify.
Youmight need to scroll the window to view the
option.
4Inthe Settings window, click Apply.
