Aboutexporting and importing Identity Safe data

Youcan export your Identity Safe data for security
purposes,data recovery, or when you transfer your
IdentitySafe data to a new computer. The backup files
aresaved as .DAT files.
Youcan protect the files that you backed up with a
password.Symantec recommends that you use a
passwordto keep your Identity Safe data more secure.
Thebackup password does not need to be the same as
yourIdentity Safe password. You must provide the
passwordwhen you restore the Identity Safe data that
youbacked up.
Youcan import your Identity Safe data from the file
thatyou previously backed up. You can also import the
IdentitySafe data from the portable profile.
Whenyou import the Identity Safe data you have the
followingoptions:
1Mergethe imported data in to the vault that you
arecurrently logged in.
1Replacethe existing Identity Safe data that you
storedin your vault that you are logged in with the
importeddata.
wYoucan also delete the data once the import is
complete.
