Whenthe Insight Protection option is turned on,
Norton360 performs a traditional scan and an Insight
Networkscan simultaneously. The traditional scan
usesthe definitions from the local system, and the
InsightNetwork scan uses the definitions that are
hostedin the Cloud. Norton 360 performs only a
traditionalscan if the Insight Protection option is
turnedoff.
Norton360 performs an Insight Network scan only
whenthe Insight Protection option is turned on. By
default,the Insight Protection option is turned on.
TheInsight Network scan supports only Insight
NetworkQuick Scan, and Insight Network
context-menuscan. Insight Network scan does not
supporta Quick Scan that runs as a part of an Idle Full
SystemScan. It also does not support Full System Scan,
EmailScan, single file Office document scan, and
Auto-Protectscan.
Toturn off or turn on the Insight Protection
1Inthe Norton 360 main window, click Settings.
2Inthe Settings window, under Detailed Settings,
clickAntivirus.
3Inthe Antivirus settings window, click the Scans
andRisks tab.
4Inthe Insight Protection row, do one of the
following:
1Toturn off Insight Protection, move the On/Off
switchto the right to the Off position.
1Toturn on Insight Protection, move the On/Off
switchto the left to the On position.
5Inthe Settings window, click Apply.
