periodthat the alert specifies, the product stops
working.You can activate it after the time period has
elapsed,but you are not protected until you activate
theproduct.
Activating Norton 360Touse all of the features in Norton 360, you must first
activateyour product. Product activation reduces
softwarepiracy and ensures that you have authentic
Symantecsoftware. You can renew your subscription
afterthe end of your subscription period.
Ifyou are connected to the Internet, product activation
takesplace automatically when you start the product
forthe first time after installation. During activation,
theNorton Account window appears. You can create
yourNorton Account and register your product. You
canalso view details, such as your Product Key and
recentupdates to the product. If you skip the Norton
Accountwindow, the product is activated, but the
ProductKey is not saved in the Norton Account. You
canprint the Product Key for the future, if you need
toreinstall your product.
Ifyou did not activate your product during installation,
Norton360 prompts for activation each time you start
theproduct. Also, you receive an activation alert
regularlyuntil you activate the product.
wYoumust activate your product within the time period
thatthe alert specifies, or your product stops working.
Youcan activate your product directly from the
activationalert. You can also activate your product
fromthe Trial Period Status link in the main window
orfrom the My Account window. In some cases, you
mightneed to enter your Product Key to activate your
product.You can activate or renew the subscription of
yourproduct from any non-admin user account as well.
