Selecting files to restore
Whenyou restore backed-up files with Norton 360, you
mightnot need to restore all the files from a backup.
Youcan restore the files that may have been damaged,
accidentallyerased, or modified incorrectly. Norton
360provides several ways for you to select only the
filesthat you need to restore.
Whenyou click the Browse for Files and Folders
option,you can view a list of all the backed-up files.
Youcan easily select the files that you want to restore
bychecking them. You can filter the files by its
categoriesavailable in the left pane in the RestoreFiles
window.
Thevarious options that are available under Category
inthe left pane of the window are:
Youcan view all the backed-up
filesin a backup set.
Allfile types
Youcan view all the file
categoriesin the left pane that
youhave previously backed up.
Whenyou click a file category,
youcan view all the backed-up
filesof that file category in the
rightpane.
FileCategories
Youcan view all the backed-up
folderscontaining files available
ina backup set.
Folders
Youcan view all the files and
foldersthat you select to restore.
SelectedFiles
Youcan also search for a particular file by using the
Searchoption. You can exclude each item in the right
paneif you want to exclude it from restoration by
uncheckingit.
