Addingan item to the Quarantine

SecurityHistory Quarantine provides a safe location
onyour computer in which you can isolate items while
youdecide on an action to take on each item.
TheQuarantine view in the Security History window
displaysa list of quarantined items. You can view the
nameand the risk status of each quarantined item.
Youcan manually add an item to the Security History
Quarantine.You can use the Addto Quarantine option
inthe Quarantine view in the SecurityHistory window
toquarantine the items that you suspect are infected.
Thisaction has no effect on the items that are already
quarantined.
wYoucannot add a known Good File to Quarantine.
Toadd an item to the Quarantine
1Inthe SecurityHistory window,in the Quarantine
view,click Add to Quarantine.
2Inthe Manual Quarantine dialog box, in the
Descriptiontext box, type a short name for the item
thatyou want to add.
Thistext appears in the Quarantine, so you should
usea recognizable description.
3ClickBrowse.
4Inthe Select File to Quarantine dialog box, browse
tothe item that you want to add, select it, and then
clickOpen.
5ClickAdd.
6ClickClose.

Restoringan item from the Quarantine

Someprograms rely on other programs that are
classifiedas security risks to function. The program
maynot function if a particular security file is removed.
Allof the removed security risks are automatically
backedup in the Security History Quarantine. This
way,Norton 360 lets you restore any risk to regain the
