WhenNorton 360 detects a running instance of a
programthat you added in the list, it automatically
turnson Quiet Mode. When Quiet Mode is turned on,
Norton360 suspends the background activities but
doesnot suppress alerts and notifications.
Youcan also add a running program to the Quiet Mode
Programslist. However, when you add a running
program,Norton 360 does not detect the current
runninginstance of the program to turn on Quiet Mode.
Norton360 turns on Quiet Mode the next time when
youexecute the program.
Youcan also remove a running program from the Quiet
ModePrograms list. However, if Quiet Mode is turned
on,it turns off only after the running instances of all
theprograms in the list are complete. You cannot turn
offQuiet Mode by removing a program from the list
whenit runs.
Youcan view the details of the programs that you add
tothe Quiet Mode Programs list or remove from the
listin the Security History window.
Addingprograms to User-Specified Programs
Youcan manually add the programs for which you want
Norton360 to turn on Quiet Mode to the Quiet Mode
Programslist. When you execute the program that you
addedto the list, Norton 360 detects the program and
turnson Quiet Mode.
Youcan also add a running program to the QuietMode
Programslist. However, when you add a running
program,Norton 360 does not detect the current
runninginstance of the program to turn on Quiet Mode.
Norton360 turns on Quiet Mode the next time when
youexecute the program.
Youcan only add the programs that have .exe file
extensionto the Quiet Mode Programs list.
