Foreach system resource, such as CPU, memory, and
harddisk, there is a resource consumption threshold
defined.When the resource consumption of a program
exceedsthe defined threshold limit, Norton 360 alerts
youwith a performance alert.
Youcan use the Resource Threshold Profile for
Alertingoption to configure the threshold limit. To
accessthe Resource Threshold Profile for Alerting
option,go to the Norton 360 main window, and then
clickSettings > Administrative Settings >
PerformanceMonitoring > Resource Threshold
Profilefor Alerting.
Youcan use the Use Low Resource Profile On Battery
Poweroption to let Norton 360 automatically change
theresource threshold profile to low when your
computerruns on battery power.
Youcan use High-Usage Alert for option to configure
Norton360 to alert for high usage of CPU, memory,
disk,and handles.
Inaddition, you can add programs to the Program
Exclusionslist using the Program Exclusions option.
Whenyou add a program to the Program Exclusions
list,Norton 360 does not alert you when the program
exceedsthe defined resource consumption threshold
limit.
Youcan view all the performance-related logs under
thePerformance Alert category in the Security
Historywindow.
