Connect to the Telephone Line

1Insert one end of the telephone cord into the LINE terminal at the back of the machine.

2Insert the other end of the cord into your wall telephone jack.

Tip: Now, you can connect either an external telephone or the external handset option for your fax machine. See the instructions below.

Option: Installing an External Handset

If you purchased an external handset option with your fax machine, follow these instructions to install it.

22Installation

1Plug one end of the handset cord into the handset. Then plug the other end of the handset cord into the jack located on the front of the cradle. Place the handset in the cradle.

2Insert the supplied telephone cable into the jack on the telephone cradle.

3Insert the end of the cord into the TEL terminal on the back of the fax machine.
