To test time measurement accuracy

8Select horizontal from the setup mean. Set the scale to 5 ns/div, position at –5 ns, and reference to the left.

9Adjust the signal generator output voltage to obtain a waveform with a risetime of approximately 700 ps to 1.4 ns.

You can measure the risetime by selecting the Risetime command from the Time submenu of the Measure menu. See figure 3-9.
