To remove and replace the floppy disk drive

To remove and replace the floppy disk drive

Use this procedure to remove and replace the floppy disk drive. When necessary, refer to other removal procedures.

1Disconnect the power cable and remove the cover.

2 Disconnect the ribbon cable W8 at the disk drive.

3 Remove the two Torx T8 screws that secure the disk drive to the chassis.

4Slide the disk drive back and lift it out of the instrument.

5To replace the floppy disk drive, reverse the above procedure.

 

To remove and replace the motherboard

 

Use the following procedure to remove and replace the motherboard assembly. When necessary,

 

refer to other removal procedures.

 

 

CAUTION

REPLACE MOTHERBOARD WITH THE SAME TYPE!

 

Be sure to order the correct motherboard, and replace the motherboard with the same type.

 

 

1Disconnect the power cable and remove the cover.

2Disconnect the floppy disk drive cable W8 from the SVGA display board, then remove the floppy drive.

3Disconnect the hard disk drive cable W10 from the SVGA display board, then remove the hard disk drive.

4Remove the SVGA display board and the scope interface board assembly.

5 Remove the GPIB interface board.

6Disconnect the power supply cable W5 from the motherboard. There are two connectors to unplug.
