Installing the BJ cartridge

Theﬁrst time you set up your fax, you have to install the BX-3 BJ FAX cartridge before you can begin

receivingand copying documents.

BJ cartridge guidelines

Useonly the Canon BX-3 BJ FAX cartridge with the FAX-B155.

Theactual amount of ink that you use will vary depending on the print density of a page. If the

majorityof your printed output is graphics, you may need to change the ink cartridge more often than

whenyou are receiving or copying text only.

Youmay need to replace the BJ cartridge when either of the following conditions exist:

¶Yourprinted output is not crisp and clear, and there are gaps in the characters (missing dots) even

afteryou have cleaned the print head once or twice and you have removed and reinstalled the BJ

cartridge.

¶Youhave been using the BJ cartridge for over one year.

¶Toensure optimum print quality, Canon recommends the use of the cartridges designated by

Canon.Canon accepts no liability or responsibility for damages caused by the use of any

cartridgeother than those designated by Canon.

¶Canonmakes numerous ink cartridges; the BX-3 BJ FAX cartridge is the only one designed to be

usedwith the FAX-B155.
