SETTINGS AND ACTIVITY REPORTS

Name	Description	Settings
TEL LINE TYPE*	Set the dialling method the fax uses to match the type of	TOUCH TONE/ROTARY PULSE**
	phone line you have.
PSTN/PBX SET	Sets the type of the PBX through which your fax is	PSTN/PBX.
	connected.
PSTN	Your fax is connected to the outside line.
PBX	Your fax is connected through a PBX.
	You can set the type of the PBX among PREFIX, HOOKING
	and EARTH CONNECTION. If you select PREFIX, you can
	set the number up to 19-digits that will access the outside
	line.
	If set to PBX, the [05] button cannot be used for One-touch
	Speed Dialling.
M-KEY SETTING	Enable/disable the M-key setting. When set to ON, the [10]	ON/OFF
(UK only)	button cannot be used for One-touch Speed Dialling.
	Set an access code and ID code for the UK Call, Global
	Call, or Day Call Service of Cable and Wireless
ACCESS CODE	Communications Limited, p. 42.
	Set an access code up to 19 digits.	-
ID CODE	Set an ID code up to 19 digits.	-

*TEL LINE TYPE cannot be set in Norway and Denmark.

**TOUCH TONE is the factory setting in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

REPORT SETTINGS

Factory settings are in bold. For instructions on how to change a setting, refer to How to change a setting, pp. 83 and 84.

TX REPORT	Enable/disable automatic printing of the transmission	OUTPUT YES/PRINT ERROR
	report.	ONLY/OUTPUT NO
	OUTPUT YES sets the fax to print an activity report every
	time you send a document.
	PRINT ERROR ONLY prints only when a transmission error
	occurs.
	OUTPUT NO turns off the activity report feature.
TX CONFIRM REP.	When you set TX REPORT to OUTPUT YES or PRINT	OUTPUT YES/OUTPUT NO
	ERROR ONLY, you can add to the TX report half of the ®rst
	page of the document that was being sent. This can help
	remind you which document was being sent. Valid only for
	memory transmissions.
RX REPORT	Enable/disable automatic printing of the reception report.	OUTPUT YES/PRINT ERROR
	OUTPUT YES sets the fax to print an activity report every	ONLY/OUTPUT NO
	time you receive a document.
	PRINT ERROR ONLY prints only when an error occurs
	during receiving.
	OUTPUT NO turns off the activity report feature.
ACTIVITY REPORT	Enable/disable automatic printing of the activity report.
AUTO PRINT	When you set OUTPUT YES, your fax is set to print an	OUTPUT YES/OUTPUT NO
	activity management report for every 20 transactions
	(sending and receiving).
TX/RX SEPARATE	Divide the activity management report into sending and	ON/OFF
	receiving transactions.
INKSAVER	Enable/disable economy printing (ink saving feature) when	ON/OFF
	printing reports.
