Connecting the optional handset*

thefax.

¶Besure to connect an extension phone if you want to use the INCOMING RING feature and you

wantit to ring when the fax receives a call. See pp. 68, 69 and 87.

¶Ifyou connect an answering machine, refer to Ans. Machine Mode, p. 21.

¶Usersin the UK only:

Whenyou connect an extension phone or answering machine, be sure to connect the B.T. adaptor.
